Jacksonville Family Photographer: C & J | Sisters
When one of my past clients contacted me asking for a secret session of her nieces for her sisters birthday, I was totally game! What a cool and awesome gift. Her sister had commented several times on my clients photos she has in her house that I'd done, so my client totally knew what to get her sis. After debating where to do the session, we ultimately decided on the beach. I can't complain, I love beach shoots. That night was no different. The sky was a gorgeous blue and the light was just stunning. The girls were just so much fun to work with and we got some awesome shots that I hope their mom loves for years to come!
Jacksonville Maternity Photographer: Jessica | Bump
I cannot tell you how excited I was to do this session. I met this adorable couple when Jess was referred to me and asked if I would do her husbands Homecoming. I'd never really done a homecoming like this before, at the base and all, so I was excited to be a part of it. We met up and we just really clicked. You miiiight just remember them from this shot:
Yeah, that couple <3
Imagine my surprise when she contacted me a few weeks after this shoot to let me know to get ready for maternity! I was so excited and happy for them! We even decided to do a halfway mini maternity session.
Well Miss Ellie is almost ready to make her appearance so we met up for their full maternity session. And it couldn't have been a more gorgeous night, really. It was perfect. I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.
I just cannot wait to meet sweet Miss Ellie!!

Jacksonville Florida Photographer: Before and After
I've had a ton of requests on my facebook page recently for before and after shots. I've shared a few there but thought I'd share some on my blog too. So, I'm hoping to make this a recurring theme on my blog.
Photographers don't just take a photo and slap it on a disc, or print it out for you and call it a day? There's many hours behind the scenes that goes in to making your custom portrait session truly something unique. I don't just take photos, I create art that is meant to be hung on your walls. Any good photographer will do this. They want you to love your photos and spend countless hours perfecting your photos so they are truly memories you will cherish forever.
Here's a quick before and after from a recent beach session. The before, straight out of camera shot is perfectly fine on its own. However, it wasn't fully polished. A little time and viola, artwork meant to hang on the family's wall.

Jacksonville Baby Photograper: Caleb is 6 months
Wow! Time really truly flies by. Caleb is already 6 months old! I have so enjoyed these months getting to know this family and this precious little guy! What a sweetheart he is! I met mom and dad at their maternity session, and they are just so fun to work with. Caleb had such an awesome newborn session and 3 month session, and I was so surprised to see what a big little guy he's become! He even sat for the first time during our session! What a champ!
We decided to shoot at the beach, but unfortunately we weren't able to get many shots near the water, because the water was ALL the way up to the dunes. I've never seen it that far up. We literally had a tiny spit of land to shoot on, and the water still tried to get us. It was insane. And the waves? Holy huge waves!
Check out Mr. C's 6 month session!

Jacksonville Baby Photographer: Henry | 1 year
Another baby planner is finishing off their year of photos. Its always bittersweet to see them on their last session and know that a year has gone by. This is little Henry and he and I just had our last session in his baby plan. I have so enjoyed watching him grow this last year, and I'm going to really miss seeing him every few months. He's just such a sweet little guy and his mom and dad are pretty neat too. :)
Here's a quick flashback of Henry:

Jacksonville Family Photographer R | Beach Family
If there's one place I love to photograph, its the beach! I'm so excited that its back to beach session and people want to shoot there. I mean, ya know, here in Jacksonville, its basically always beach session, but this is the season where beach photos are a must!
I was super excited when the R family contacted me for photos. I've known mom since my days working at the elementary school where her kids went. Back in the day, her daughter was in the school I worked, and her son was younger than my daughter is now. Talk about a reality check when I walked up and saw how many years had actually passed. Wow.
Anyway, enough of that, here's what you guys tune in for. Check out the R family's gorgeous beach session

Jacksonville Engagement Photographer: Elaine + Steven
Okay, I can't even begin to tell you how stoked I was to do this session. This is my best friend from SECOND grade! Yes, thats right, second grade, as in elementary school. She and her fiance are getting married in October and they wanted met to do their photos. Oh, did I mention they live in Pennsylvania, and came down here for a session? How cool is that? Totally humbled!
Anyway, she mentioned she wanted to do some photos in St. Augustine, so I packed up my gear and headed down there and just ended up having a blast. We just walked all over. Steven even brought his prized violin so we could take some photos with it. I looove when clients bring sentimental and important items with them. It really personalizes their session!
Congratulations Elaine and Steven! I wish you many many years of wedded bliss!!
